A 31-YEAR-OLD woman who admitted assaulting her partner by placing her hands around her neck restricting her breathing has been placed on supervision for one year at Selkirk Sheriff Court.

Jodie Turnbull pleaded guilty to assaulting the woman to her injury in Galashiels on the afternoon of June 21 last year.

Turnbull, who gave an address in Galashiels, was also made the subject of a non-harassment order for two years banning all contact with the woman.

Sheriff Peter Paterson described the relationship between the women as “toxic”.
