TWENTY-NINE-YEAR-OLD Steven Gorman was sentenced to 200 hours of unpaid work at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
He was also given a 12-month night-time curfew at his Hawick home.
He pleaded guilty to a charge of assaulting a man to his severe injury.
