YESTERDAY’S planned delivery of a wind turbine blade to Pines Burn Wind Farm which is located approximately 6km Southwest of Bonchester Bridge and 8km South of Hawick was cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.

The blade remains at a site near St Boswells and there are no plans to transport the blade today Thursday December 7.
The next delivery is scheduled for Friday December 8. Timings will be announced ahead of the journey and a tracker will be in operation.

A spokesperson for energiekontor said: “Due to the ongoing lack of visibility from the thick fog and the approaching sunset we are unable to move the blade today. The next scheduled movement day is Friday 8th December.”
