A NEW Chinese restaurant is set to open in the Scottish Borders next week.

The Shanghai Banquet will take over the premises formerly known as Herges on The Loch in Tweedbank which closed in August 2021 after owners Sandy and Karen Craig made the decision to retire after struggling to find staff for their business.
