EMERGENCY services are at the scene of a “serious road crash involving a car and a lorry” on the A1 in the Scottish Borders.
The crash took place earlier this morning Saturday December 16 and the road is currently closed in both directions, southbound at Burnmouth and northbound at Lamberton.
Local diversions are in place.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.15am on Saturday, 16 December, 2023, police were called to a report of a serious road crash involving a car and a lorry on the A1.
“Emergency services including air ambulance are in attendance.
“The road is closed in both directions, southbound at Burnmouth and northbound at Berwick, with local diversions in place.”
