THEPEEBLESSHIRE Foodbank has announced their end of year figures and thanked the residents who have supported them throughout another difficult 12-months.
The Foodbank provided food for 16,000 emergency meals for 1740 people, including 630 children.

5000 packed lunches were delivered over the summer holidays to kids in Peeblesshire.
50 warm boxes were funded and delivered to families
As was £8,000 worth of fuel voucher top ups.
Breakfast clubs were run in seven schools.
The Foodbank made six TV appearances.
Two part time members of staff one office move and countless benefactors.
A spokesperson for the Foodbank said: “Thanks to EVERYONE who has given us food, money and time.
“We couldn’t do it without you. The Foodbank shouldn’t have to exist, it’s a sad reflection on society that people can’t manage without a hand, but my God, you guys support us every step of the way. Thank you, people of Peeblesshire. “
