VIEWS are being sought over the future of a "well-used" path in the Borders.
The Berwickshire coastal path regularly suffers from erosion, landslips and damage to footbridges and steps.
The 30-mile long route follows the coastline from Cockburnspath to Berwick-upon-Tweed, and also links up with the Southern Upland Way, the John Muir Way and the Northumberland coastal path.
A short survey has been launched by Scottish Borders Council (SBC) to gather the views of the public, landowners and local organisations about its condition and future.
Melrose councillor Jenny Linehan, SBC’s executive member for environment and transport, said: “The Berwickshire coastal path is well used by local people and visitors and is an important part of the path network in the region.
“This survey will inform the next stages of a project aiming to develop a longer term plan for the path which protects and enhances it whilst continuing to allow for adaption as and when required.”
The survey is open until midnight on January 31 and can be found at www.scotborders.gov.uk/BCPsurvey
