A 57-YEAR-OLD man who robbed a pensioner in Peebles will be sentenced next month.
Colin Boyle had previously admitted carrying out the attack on the 75-year-old woman near his home in the town's Cuddyside on April 25, 2022.
Selkirk Sheriff Court was told that he seized the strap of her handbag - causing her to fall to the ground - before escaping with the bag and its contents.
But the court was told that background reports were unavailable as Boyle had been in hospital preventing him from attending a meeting with social workers.
Sheriff Janys Scott gave Boyle a final opportunity to attend after he appeared in the dock with a walking stick after rupturing an artery in his leg.
The case will recall on March 4.
