A SHEEP has been found dead and another injured in a field near a riverside path.
The sheep were found by the riverside path on the River Tweed west of Peebles.
The animals were reported to Police Scotland on February 22 and are believed to have been injured sometime between February 20 and 21.
Police say the cause of the sheep's injuries is unclear, with enquiries ongoing.
Officers in the Borders are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward and contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 2269 of Thursday, February 22, 2023.
