A BORDERS village hall is in danger of closure unless the community rallies to support it, locals have been warned.
There is a “real chance” of Reston Village Hall having to close its doors.
The building is owned and maintained by the community and villagers are being urged to step forward at the village hall’s annual general meeting on Monday, March 25, from 7.30pm.
They are being asked to go along and join the management team, register to be a volunteer and find out the plans for 2024.
A management team spokesperson said: “Unless we get new members there is a very real chance of the hall closing with the loss of not only the hall but also the larder as it is dependant on the hall being open.
“At the moment we need a booking clerk and treasurer as our present treasurer finishes in September. We also need someone to take over fundraising for applying for any available grants. If you think you can help in any way please come along.”
