A PEEBLES woman caused £1,500 worth of damage when she committed an act of vandalism, Selkirk Sheriff Court has been told.
But with Beth Burns not having any prospect of obtaining gainful employment, Sheriff Peter Paterson decided to limit the level of compensation to £500 to be paid at £40 a month.
Burns also admitted three charges of assault.
In addition to the compensation, Burns was given a night-time home curfew between the hours of 7pm and 7am for the next eight months as an alternative to custody.
