A WALKER highlighting men’s mental health with a 1,000-mile trek stopped by the River Tweed on Saturday.
Craig Ferguson, who is supporting Scottish men’s mental health charity Brothers in Arms, left Hampden Stadium with the aim of walking to Munich – arriving just in time for Scotland’s opening game against Germany in Euro 2024.
Beside the Tweed Craig spoke about the walk to Bruce Baker, who took photos and shared the information with his local network.
Brothers in Arms came into existence as a spark of an idea that took flight in 2017.
It launched as a platform aimed at representing men in Scotland and initiated conversations about suicide rates among males under 45 – a leading cause of death for this demographic group in the UK.
So far Craig has raised more than £18,000 out of a fundraising target of £50,000 and reached Peebles on Sunday after completing 78.54km in virtually an 11-hour stint on the road.
