EXTRA carriages and seats will be available to Swifties heading to Murrayfield in June for the Edinburgh leg of Taylor Swift's Era's tour.

The pop sensation will perform in Edinburgh across three nights from Friday, June 7 to Sunday, June 9.

Marking the first time the award-winning singer/songwriter has performed at Murrayfield, ScotRail is ensuring that thousands of fans can get to and from the concerts comfortably.

For Swifties making their way to Edinburgh from the Borders, additional carriages and seats will be added to services between June 7 and 9.

Phil Campbell, ScotRail customer operations director, said: “It will be fantastic to see so many people travel to Scottish Gas Murrayfield stadium to see Taylor Swift, and ScotRail is delighted to be able to add more seats and extra late-night trains to help fans enjoy the occasion.

“We’re encouraging customers to plan ahead and allow extra time for travel to and from Edinburgh.

“Buying return tickets in advance on the ScotRail app or website will minimise your need to queue, and help your day run smoothly.”

Swifties can also find members of the ScotRail team at Haymarket Station who have made friendship bracelets especially for the three nights of music.

Fans are invited to exchange bracelets with staff when passing through the station on their way to Murrayfield.

ScotRail customers are encouraged to buy their return tickets in advance using the mTicket service on the ScotRail app to avoid long queues at stations.

Additional staff will also be available across ScotRail's network to assist customers.

Customers are also reminded that the consumption of alcohol on ScotRail trains and in ScotRail stations is prohibited.
