GO-AHEAD has been given for the demolition of three derelict cottages in Jedburgh.
The properties at 1-3 Edgerston are set to be flattened following a successful application to Scottish Borders Council (SBC) from Jedburgh-based Edgerston Trading.
In his report approving demolition, Euan Calvert, SBC assistant planning officer, says: “This notification relates to the demolition of a terrace of three dwelling houses situated in a rural location on the Edgerston Estate.
“The property is inter-war era built in vernacular style. The building is characterised by red pan tiles, multi-pane sash and case windows, piended roofs and bay windows.
“The building is two storey and finished in wet harl. No proposals have been given for future use of the site. The cottages are said to be derelict.”
