A GALASHIELS man has been found guilty of a serious assault following a two-day jury trial at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Twenty-seven-year-old Jordan Whittaker, of Chris Paterson Place, struck his victim on the head with a bottle causing it to smash.
The assault on the man took place at the High Street car park in Galashiels on December 17, 2021.
Whittaker was found not guilty of two other assaults on a man and a woman and also cleared of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.
Sentence was deferred until next month for the production of background reports.
