THE wait is almost over as Peebles Beltane Festival returns.

With hopes of making this year’s festival bigger and better than last year, the Beltane committee has worked tirelessly to ensure a great week is had by all.

Launching on Sunday, June 16, Beltane will begin with the inauguration, before Cornet elect Reuben Sterricks and Cornet elect’s Lass Rianna Sterricks are officially installed on Beltane Wednesday.

Then on Saturday, June 22, Red Letter Day will return where the Beltane Queen, Lucy Crombie, and her Court will take to the steps of the Parish Church.
