APPROVAL is being recommended to build five new homes on fields in Galashiels.
A planning bid has been submitted to Scottish Borders Council (SBC) for the homes on undeveloped fields on the eastern and western sides of Lauder Road.
During the processing of the application, the proposals were amended to account for various concerns, including amenity, visual impact and road safety issues.
When members of SBC’s Planning and Building Standards Committee meet on Monday (July 8) they will be recommended to approve the application.
Permission for a previous application for six homes on the site has expired.
