SENTENCE has been deferred at Jedburgh Sheriff Court on a Reston man who admitted assaulting his partner.
Fifty-seven-year-old Troy Hood pleaded guilty to pushing the woman and causing her to fall against a fence before repeatedly striking her on the head and body.
The offence happened at his Sunnyside Farm Cottages home on May 18.
Sheriff Kevin McCarron called for a Criminal Justice Social Work Report to be prepared.
The case will recall on July 29.
