A GALASHIELS pensioner has been found guilty of sexually assaulting two young girls following a four-day jury trial at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
William Thomson, 73, of Balmoral Avenue, had denied all five charges.
But the jury found him guilty by unanimous verdicts of sexually assaulting the girls between 2011 and 2019 at houses in Galashiels, Earlston and Hawick, and also in his vehicle.
Sentence was deferred until August 19 for the production of background reports.
