A MAN was left “badly shaken” after being robbed in a Borders town, according to police.
The 35-year-old was walking along Havelock Street, Hawick, at around 7.30pm on Tuesday (July 23) when he was approached by two men.
They threatened him and stole a two-figure sum of cash, say police.
Detective Constable Claire White said: “The victim was not injured but was badly shaken as a result.
“Enquiries are ongoing to trace the two men responsible and I’d appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time who witnessed this take place, or any drivers with dashcam footage, to get in touch. We are keen to trace the female driver of a white Audi who stopped to assist the victim at the time.
“Anyone with information should contact 101 quoting reference number 3636 of July 23. Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
