FINES totalling £700 have been imposed on a Hawick man who admitted assaulting a man and a woman in a neighbourly dispute.
Jason Trimby, 39, assaulted the man to his severe injury with a walking stick outside his Earl Street home on September 13 last year.
He also struck the woman with a steel implement and pushed her on the body.
Trimby pleaded guilty at Jedburgh Sheriff Court to both charges and was fined a total of £700 with a £40 victim surcharge added.
