A MOTORIST who collided with a number of parked vehicles while under the influence of alcohol has been banned from the road for 12 months at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Forty-two-year-old Ann Plusa pleaded guilty to careless driving and striking various vehicles in Scotts Place and Knowepark, Selkirk, during the early hours of June 12.
The self-employed cleaner was taken to Hawick Police Station where she failed to provide two samples of breath for analysis and was arrested.
Defence lawyer Liam Alexander accepted there had been a “catalogue of errors”.
He said his client admitted alcohol had been involved and had been drinking at the funeral of a close friend.
Mr Alexander explained Plusa was confused at the police station but accepts she did not do enough to comply with the breath test.
In addition to the driving ban, she was fined a total of £600 with a £40 victim surcharge.
