A GALASHIELS man who admitted biting his partner on the lip during a domestic bust-up has been ordered to be of good behaviour for the next 12 months.
Richard Cleghorn, 55, pleaded guilty to assaulting the woman to her injury at their home in Winston Place.
Selkirk Sheriff Court was told that he had not taken kindly to a conversation about him moving out the property and when they squared up he bit her on the lip.
Defence lawyer Liam Alexander said his client had a very limited recollection of the incident and could not remember the bite but added his client was disgusted with himself.
Sentence was deferred until August 18, 2025, for good behaviour.
