A BANNED motorist who admitted dangerous driving on the A6091 road at Tweedbank on June 20 has been disqualified for 12 months.
Thirty-one-year-old Jacob Palmer, from Newcastle, pleaded guilty to driving a BMW at excessive speeds before eventually losing control and landing on the road verge.
He told Selkirk Sheriff Court that he was not aware that he was disqualified under the totting-up points procedure.
Palmer also pleaded guilty to having no insurance and no test certificate.
He was fined £900 with a £40 victim surcharge.
