AN appeal has been launched after two break-ins at a premises in Melrose.
Police say the first incident happened at around 11.45pm on Friday, August 30 in Buccleuch Street.
A quantity of cash and alcohol were taken, according to officers.
And they say the second incident, at the same premises, happened at around 5.30am on Saturday, August 31 and a quantity of cash was taken.
Police Scotland say they are keen to trace a man in his 20s, who is described as white, around 5ft 8in tall, of medium build, with short, blonde hair.
He was said to be wearing a dark blue jumper and dark coloured trousers.
Constable Ruaridh Nairn said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have information to contact us.
“We also ask anyone who may have private CCTV of the area at the time to come forward.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 1210 of August 31.
“Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
