A 25-YEAR-OLD man found in possession of cannabis valued up to £2,000 has been ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Macaulay Kerr, of Church Square, Galashiels, - who pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of the class B drug - was told the sentence was an alternative to custody.
Prosecutor India McLean said police stopped a vehicle in Linglie Road, Selkirk, on April 20.
She added: "There was a strong smell of cannabis coming from the vehicle."
Kerr had been given six months to complete the unpaid work as part of a Community Payback Order.
