A DRUG treatment and testing order has been imposed on a Galashiels man who was found guilty after a trial of extortion.
Twenty-nine-year-old Jordan Cunningham had denied attempting to expose a man’s private activities on social media and extorting money from him by threats.
But after evidence was led at Selkirk Sheriff Court he was found guilty of the charge.
The extortion happened at a house in Church Square, Galashiels, in January 2022.
He was also sentenced for behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.
Sheriff Kevin McCarron told Cunningham he was being given an opportunity and warned him he would face prison if he failed on the course.
