A 36-YEAR-OLD man who breached a non-harassment order on numerous occasions has been jailed for more than two years at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Alex Russell contacted a former partner at addresses in Tweedbank, Galashiels, Eyemouth and Newtown St Boswells between November 2022 and February 23 when he was banned by a court order from seeing her.
He pleaded guilty on indictment to the offence and received a 12-month prison sentence.
Russell, of Carlin Court, Tweedbank, was jailed for eight months after pleading guilty to a separate complaint of assault, obstructing police, threatening or abusive behaviour and breaching his bail conditions.
He received another eight months for another breach of a non-harassment order and breaching bail on three occasions bringing the total sentence to 28 months.
Russell's sentence was backdated to August 22.
