A 34-YEAR-OLD man has admitted seizing a woman by the body and striking her with a knife to her injury.
It follows an incident at an address in Trinity Street, Hawick, on December 16 last year.
James Jackson, who gave an address in Kelso, also pleaded guilty to breaching a court order banning him from entering the town when he appeared from custody at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
Sentence has been deferred for background reports until October 28 when the case will recall at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Jackson – who has been in custody since December – was again remanded in custody until the sentencing diet.
Meanwhile, a warrant was issued for 35-year-old co-accused, Claire Condie, from Hawick, after she failed to appear when the case called.
