A NURSE recruitment event at NHS Borders has been hailed a success.
Filling vacancies on the wards is a problem that health boards across the UK are facing.
Last week senior staff at NHS Borders held a nursing recruitment open day for both student and registered nurses.
The event gave everyone taking part the chance to speak to current nurses.
And they also had the opportunity to take part in interviews for current nursing vacancies.
Claire Pearce, director of Nursing, Midwifery and Acute Services at NHS Borders said: βIt was brilliant to have such a good turnout on Friday at our open day with student nurses and registered nurses coming along with the view to joining the team which is fantastic.
"The feedback we received from attendees was positive with the general consensus being that our team spirit here really shines through which of course we are incredibly proud of.β
