On Saturday, November 4, eight volunteers cleared vegetation from the Mill Lade near Roxburgh Street, and from the Lint Burn which joins the lade there. Small trees, branches and weed was cleared and the beech hedge was trimmed. A car tyre, Christmas tree, tricycle/scooter and 20kg of rubbish was removed. The group is grateful to the landowners for access to the lade and burn. The next work party will be on Saturday, December 2.
