THEY are proud of their heritage down at the Greenyards.
But just as important to the officials and coaches at Melrose Rugby Club is the exciting young talent coming through the ranks.
On Saturday hundreds of youngsters took part in the world's oldest junior sevens - the 97th playing of the Crichton Cup.
A dry and sunny day made for a feast of exciting rugby in the different age groups.
And several victories for the young Melrose teams brought additional enjoyment to the large crowd.
A spokesman for Melrose Rugby told us: "Well done to all who played and a special word of thanks to the army of organisers and officials."
