A YOUNG Galashiels swimmer was in top form on Sunday during the Scottish Disability Sport Performance Championships in Glasgow.
Jenna Brus, an S1 pupil at Galashiels Academy, set personal bests in all three of her events at Tollcross International Swimming Pool.
In her first swim, 12-year-old Jenna knocked almost five seconds off her time in the 100 metre backstroke, before going on to break her 100 metre breaststroke time by more than six seconds.
In her final event, she took 1.3 seconds off her 100 metre freestyle time.
Jenna swims and competes with regional disability swimming squad Border Barracudas and also trains with both Galashiels Amateur Swimming Club and Selkirk Swimming Club.
She was invited to compete in the performance championships following improved swims throughout the season.
Jenna also received a grant from Scottish Borders Disability Sport last year to assist with travel and costs involved in attending swimming competitions.
