DOUBLES from Danny Bolton and Des Sutherland secured Langlee Amateurs a fine Scottish Amateur Cup win over Fife side Markinch.

The Galashiels side won 4-2 in the first round replay at Netherdale, having drawn 4-4 in the original tie. It means Langlee join Gordon, Greenlaw and Hawick Waverley in round two of the national competition.

In Division A, Stow claimed their first win of the season thanks to a hat-trick from the returning Jordan Steele, as they defeated local rivals Gala Hotspur 3-1.

Greenlaw have been in impressive form since the start of the season but their 100% record in Division A was blown away by reigning champions Hawick Waverley.

Waverley claimed a 5-1 win thanks to a four goal second half, as Greg Ford and Jordan Yardley claimed doubles and Taylor Hope added a fifth.

Gordon remain joint top of the league with Hawick as Craig Livingstone and Gavin Brown were amongst the scorers in a 4-1 triumph over Langholm Legion.

And a brilliant quartet of goals by Scott Inglis gave Tweeddale Rovers a fine away win at Chirnside United.

Ex-Gala Fairydean Rovers striker Andrew Crawford notched a hat-trick as Newtown thumped Berwick Colts 6-1.

Sean Robertson scored a late winner for Duns Amateurs in a Berwickshire derby against Coldstream Amateurs while Kelso Thistle and Tweedmouth Amateurs both won emphatically.

Ancrum beat Gala Thistle 4-1 in Division C to keep up their early promotion challenge as Euan Gray scored two.

In the Collie Cup, youngster Gregor Lunn scored the winning goal as Selkirk Victoria defeated Gala Fairydean Rovers Amateurs, and the Souters will now face Tweedmouth Harrow in the semi-finals after the English side battered St Boswells 8-2.

Highfields United and Hawick Legion Rovers will face off in the other semi, after comfortable wins over Melrose and Kelso Amateurs respectively.
