A CURLER from the Borders is setting the ice-rink on fire at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Sarajevo.

Angus Bryce from Kelso is part of the Team GB rink - and just made it five wins from five so far in the competition.

The 7-2 victory against Hungary came on the back of victories over Austria and Denmark the previous day.

A victory over Russia this weekend would see Team GB qualify for the last four.

Angus said: "The tournament has been great so far – five wins from five, you can’t really complain.

"It’s puts us undefeated at the top of the section, which gives us a massive confidence boost going into the final game against Russia and hopefully the semis/final if we get there.

“We’re enjoying it. What you want to do is make the games as easy as possible, which is what we’ve seemed to have done.

“The mixed team event is something new for me. I’ve played one boy, one girl in the past but not as a four. This is a new experience for me and I’m enjoying it."
