MIDLEM athlete Zoe Pflug helped Scotland to gold on Saturday.
The 19-year-old Edinburgh University student was part of the Scotland East Under 20s team competing at the Inter Counties Championships in Loughborough.
In a hotly contested race Zoe finished strongly to claim 17th place.
Along with fourth-placed Eloise Walker, Cera Gemmell, in ninth, and 11th-placed Naomi Lang, the Scotland East girls did enough to claim first team.
Lauder's Adam Craig, who recently won the Scottish Cross Country Championship, had to settle for tenth place behind Southend's Adam Hickey.
Despite the strong run, Adam's Scotland West team were just outside the medals.
Other Borders athletes competing at Loughborough were Callum Tharme, Sara Greene, Gregor Collins and Euan Christie.
