HAWICK'S promising players of the future stamped their authority during last weekend's Peebles Festival of Rugby.
While Jed-Forest claimed the senior Sevens title on the Saturday, it was the Greens who triumphed on both the Friday evening and Sunday afternoon.
All eight Borders clubs lined up for Friday's Under 16s Sevens at the Gytes.
In a tight final with Melrose, Hawick claimed the trophy with a try in extra time.
The Bowl tournament was won by Duns, who beat hosts Peebles in the final.
Sunday's Peebles Colts Sevens attracted 12 of the best local teams.
And the action in all four pools was terrific throughout the afternoon.
Melrose Wasps, Carlisle Colts, Hawick Youth and Biggar Colts topped their respective pools to reach the semi-finals.
In a repeat of Friday showdown, it was Hawick and Melrose who again contested the final, and yet again it was Hawick who ran out winners.
