PEEBLES High athletes returned from the Scottish Schools Cross Country Championships with a haul of medals.

Fresh from her indoor success at the national age-group championships in Glasgow, Charlotte Clare led the Peebles High seniors to team glory with an individual silver medal.

Joining her on the top of the podium was 7th-placed Beth Hobbs, Hannah Little, who crossed the line in 20th, and 37th-placed Eilidh Mooney.

There was further success for Peebles at Hopetoun House Estate near Queensferry as the Under 14 girls also won gold.

Abbie Little led home the team in 20th with Gracie Linton in 23rd, Elena Lee in 31st and Caitlin Clyde in 38th.

Izzy Molyneux and Molly Nethercot were just outside the counting places.

Not to be outdone, the boys' Under 14s team also claimed team silver.

Kieran Fulton finished 10th, Shaun Pyman was 21st, Aaron Glendinning 44th and Gregor Wells crossed the line in 50th.
