Rangers face another stiff Europa League test tonight when they welcome Galatasaray to Ibrox.

Victory over the Turkish giants would see Steven Gerrard’s team qualify for the group stages for the third year running.

Here Herald and Times Sport has predicted how Gerrard will set up his side for the crucial Euro clash.

Formation: 4-3-2-1

Glasgow Times:

Allan McGregor

Jon McLaughlin must be given credit for his start to the season, but for a game like this experience is key. McGregor looks sharp after his return from injury so expect him to be given the nod tonight.

James Tavernier

Captain fantastic. First name on the team sheet and is scoring just about every week at the minute. Can he add to his tally tonight?

Connor Goldson

The big defender has started the season well and looks confident and composed at the back. He'll face a tough test tonight with Galatasaray's attacking force, but Gerrard will fancy him to handle the pressure.

Filip Helander

The Swedish stopper is really starting to come on to a game for the Light Blues and is forming a strong partnership with Goldson. Has been a key performer in Europe for Rangers in the past.

Borna Barisic

Has been more of an attacking threat than a defensive influence for Rangers this season. His deliveries could be key again tonight though and will be tested on the back foot too. Another certainty to start.

Glen Kamara

His energy in the middle will be important if the game is end to end as expected. Will have to dig in defensively, but will also have to put in a shift going forward too.

Steven Davis

Another top performer for Rangers this season. Keeps the team ticking and his ability to move the ball forward to spark Gers on the attack is second to none. Another big European night to add to his list.

Scott Arfield

Made a number of cameo appearances so far this term, but has broken into the starting XI of late. Again an experienced head in the middle of the park and will hope to chip in with a goal.

Ianis Hagi

Hasn't hit the heights of his loan spell last season, but the ability is there. A key figure to link defence to attack and a threat in the final third. Will be hoping to rise to the occasion at Ibrox.

Ryan Kent

Rangers' best player this season and a constant threat. Gerrard will be hoping that he struts his stuff again tonight to see Gers through to the group stages.

Alfredo Morelos

Starting to find his fitness and form again. His manager has talked him up in the build up to this one and will be hoping for some more European magic from the Colombian tonight.
