FOURTEEN new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the Borders over the last 24 hours.

The new figures were released today (Thursday, November 19) by the Scottish Government.

The number of Borders cases since March now stands at 910.

Across Scotland in the last 24 hours, 50 new deaths have been recorded among people who tested positive in the last 28 days.

This brings Scotland's total number of COVID-19 deaths to 3,427.

Nationally, there have been 1,089 new cases in the last 24 hours.

The total number of Scottish cases since March is 85,612.

The number of patients in hospital in the Borders with coronavirus has also increased.

Since yesterday (Wednesday) three more patients have been recorded, bringing the total number currently in hospital to 12.
