A 22-YEAR-OLD man found with an air weapon and ball bearings without a proper certificate has been fined £300 at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Jacob Woods pleaded guilty to the offence which happened at a flat in High Street, Galashiels, on December 30.
His lawyer explained he had the items when they did not require to have a licence and he had not kept up to date with the legislation.
Woods, now living at Lovell Court in Hawick, will also have to pay a £20 Victim Surcharge.
