THE Borders has recorded more than 60 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to the latest figures.
The Scottish Government published updated statistics on cases at 2pm today (September 14).
And the new figures show the Borders saw 66 new cases of COVID-19 over the past day.
This brings the total number of cases in the region since the start of the pandemic to 6,802.
There are currently 23 people in hospital in the region with recently confirmed cases of coronavirus, the latest data shows.
Since March last year, Scotland has now 512,312 cases, according to the figures.
