A BORDERS man who admitted three offences has been locked up for Christmas.
Thirty-one-year-old Darren Devlin, of Hawick, appeared from custody at Jedburgh Sheriff Court on Wednesday and pleaded guilty to theft by shoplifting, theft and breach of the peace.
Sentence was deferred until next month for the production of background reports.
Bail was refused and Devlin was remanded in custody.
