BACKGROUND reports have been ordered into a Borders man who admitted assaulting his mother.
Danny Sharkey, 28, pleaded guilty to repeatedly punching her on the body at a house in McLagan Drive, Hawick, on February 7 last year.
He also admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive way to his partner or ex-partner by sending her abusive text messages at house in Arthur Street, Hawick, on September 3.
Sentence was deferred until May 23 at Jedburgh Sheriff Court for a Criminal Justice Social Work Report, Restriction of Liberty Order assessment and a Caledonian Men's Programme assessment.
