A BORDERS pensioner involved in a bust-up with his neighbour during which he produced a knife has been placed on a night-time home curfew for the next nine months as an alternative to custody at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Seventy-year-old Leonard Holobyn, of Melrose, pleaded guilty to assault, threatening or abusive behaviour and possession of an offensive weapon.
Sheriff Peter Paterson told Holobyn he had a significant record and warned him that despite his age he could be sent to prison if there was any further offending.
