PLANS have been revealed for seven residential flats above a discount store at the heart of Galashiels town centre.
Scottish Borders Council has received a planning bid for the change of use of the property above the Savers retail outlet at 38 Channel Street, incorporating proposed extensions and alteration work.
The building is currently for sale via an auction with bids to close at 3pm on Thursday (June 9).
A submission with the applications said: “The proposal is for the erection of a part second floor and change of use of the first floor ancillary commercial floor space to create residential units and external alterations.”
