ONE of the country's leading live performers is rolling into Darnick this weekend.
Graham Carter, who is an amazing acoustic guitar and harmonica player, takes the stage at the Rolling Hills Folk Club on Friday evening.
With many early influences, including Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Lennon/McCartney and the Dubliners, Graham's diverse repertoire includes moving traditional ballads of the UK and Ireland, sprinkled with exceptional Blues/Americana, occasional negro spirituals and self-penned songs as well.
And you won't have to pay a fortune to witness the master at work.
Ros Anderson from the Rolling Hills Folk Club explained: "Having held the entrance fee as low as possible, with the aim of keeping music live and affordable, the recent Rolling Hills Folk Club AGM agreed a slight increase for future events of £7 and £6 concessions, which still represents remarkably good value for money, being one of the lowest-priced live music venues in the area.
"Added to that, under 18s and Young Scot Card holders are allowed free entry and all ages are welcome."
Graham Carter plays the Smith Memorial Hall in Darnick from 8pm - doors open at 7.30pm.
