Officers swooped on addresses in Hawick and Jedburgh as part of Operation Hawksbill yesterday (Thursday).

Two men aged 35 and 32 were arrested along with a 31-year-old woman following searches at two separate addresses in Wilson Drive, Hawick

Dealer quantities of cannabis were found within both properties.

Another home in Grieve Avenue, Jedburgh was also searched and more cannabis was recovered inside. A 48-year-old man was subsequently charged with supply.

It is the latest in a series of drug raids across the Borders.

"We are delighted to have seized this cannabis before it could make its way to our communities.

"Members of the public who are aware of drug crime in their area can report this to us on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Whenever we receive a report of criminal activity it will be acted on accordingly to bring those responsible to justice."
