TWO valuable pocket watches were stolen during a housebreaking in Hawick.
Around 9.50pm on Sunday, May 15, the window of a business premises in Bourtree Place was smashed.
Two pocket watches were stolen from within.
The suspect is described as a white man, aged between 30 and 40-years-old, slim build, and 6ft tall.
He was wearing a black hoodie, a dark-coloured top, dark jogging bottoms, and carrying a dark-coloured rucksack.
He spoke with a Glaswegian accent and was last seen on Mart Street.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
PC Ryan Anderson of Hawick said: "We're conducting a number of inquiries and would appeal for any information from the public which can assist.
"We'd also ask anyone who may have seen a man matching this description in the area around the time of the break-in to come forward."
