DIG out the Smiley t-shirt, find the whistle and get ready to rave.

But don't forget the kids.

Scotland's leading family ravers, Big Fish Little Fish, are heading to Galashiels during the summer.

Their Walk on the Wild Side party will leave the confides of the cities for the first time when their multi-sensory dancefloor sets up in the MacArts Centre.

Kirstie Wilson from Big Fish Little Fish told us: "I myself grew up in fairly remote parts of Scotland before settling in Penicuik many moons ago, but I remember what it was like having to travel to go to special events, so it’s been on my plan to bring the party out of the city for special events like this.

"It’s a fun, relaxed festival vibe with real DJs playing real upfront music - at a monitored safe level - where the kids have as much fun as the adults.

"We launched the Scotland Big Fish Little Fish in Edinburgh in March, and have had phenomenal success - selling out three further parties including our launch in Glasgow."

Voted Best Family Event 2015 at The National Family Arts Festival, Big Fish Little Fish has been running regularly in London since 2013, and has also been named in The Top Ten of Time’s 101 Best Things To Do With Kids in London.

Big Fish Little Fish launched in Scotland earlier this year at Edinburgh’s La Belle Angele.

The family raves include a multi-sensory dance floor with top DJs playing club classics and dance music.

Bubble machines, glitter cannons, club visuals and a giant parachute dance help to create the atmosphere of a real rave.

All events will also offer a play and chillout area for babies, as well as a quality themed crafting area featuring colouring murals, playdough and transfer tattoos.

There will also be pop up stalls offering facepainting, cakes, and a photo booth.

The very first Walk on the Wild Side Party in Galashiels will be held on Sunday, July 24 at the MacArts Centre from 2pm to 4.30pm.
